We have in-depth experience designing and assisting clients with implementation and administration of a wide array of short-term and long-term executive compensation plans, stock option plans and other types of equity-based compensation programs. Like other types of plans, there are an increasing number of compliance obligations for executive plans of certain employers and in certain industries, such as required claw-back provisions. Tax Code Section 409A also must be taken into account in design and operation of plans, or executives are subject to 20% higher income taxes.
