Lawrence A. Fathman
Larry is a registered patent attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. He concentrates his practice on drafting and prosecuting patent applications for mechanical and related fields domestically and internationally. He also has experience serving the varied patent need of clients of all sizes patent needs, including prosecuting design applications, conducting patentability, landscape, patent validity, and infringement analyses, counseling clients on intellectual property matters, and managing patent portfolios. With a background in engineering, including working with EMCOR Group and General Cable, Larry has a thorough understanding of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical technologies. As an attorney, he also acquired experience in automotive, ambulatory equipment, medical cot, automated industrial vehicle navigation, tooling, fluid handling turbomachinery, and oil extraction fields.
During law school, Larry served as a judicial intern for the Hon. William O. Bertelsman in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. He also served as a licensing extern in the University of Cincinnati Intellectual Property Office. Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, he was a patent attorney with an AmLaw200 law firm in the Cincinnati and Dayton offices.
